What is HISTORY? Is it not the story of the past? Well then, Where do you start a history? Is it not at the very beginning?
Here then is my story as it has been taught to me. Of necessity it will be a religious story, for how can any history not be a religious story? OH! True, scientists have made much ado about nothing with their trumped up story of Evolution. However it becomes increasingly impossible to believe their THEORY and it IS only a theory. For them it has become their religion. For to continue to believe it, in the light of the evidence, takes more faith then to believe in an Almighty Creator. I do not purpose at this time to debate Creation and Evolution. Only to show that even when we think we are not religious we really are. Often I have heard individuals make the statement, “I don’t discuss religion or politics.” And yet do so not moments later. Some will discuss politics and not religion. It’s one and the same in many cases. Why don’t people like to discuss the subject of religion? After some thought on the matter I have come to the only conclusion possible, they don’t know much about it and don’t want to appear to be ignorant.
I say that this story has been taught to me. That statement needs a little clarification. I have always been interested in history as it pertains to man, and so as a young person I read many historical works, both nonfiction and fictional. As a consequence I do know many things about history from Man’s point of view. But the truth of the matter is that much, even most, of this history is biased and not very trustworthy. Man has written history to favor him self and often has covered up facts as well as out right lied about facts. That is not what you will find here in this history. Why can I say this with such certainty? It’s because, in this case no human individual can be credited with my instruction. Rather, I credit the Great Teacher himself. :
“In the beginning” That has a ring all its own, this statement “In the beginning” In the beginning of what? It presupposes that there IS a point of beginning. This story of History really has NO beginning. Does that statement astound you? OK! Read on!
History, that is True History, must begin with the Supreme Being, an Almighty personage. If there is an almighty, (and I’m not setting forth any doubt by this question,) then the true history cannot have any “beginning” Because, by definition the almighty does not have a beginning. So our History can’t either. Before is a better way to start.
Before, the beginning of history was THE being that is now called God. Before there was any one to worship him he was NOT God. Shock! Sharp intake of breaths! Think about it for a moment. Yes, he WAS the same almighty individual that he is now, but the word God cannot be used to describe him. In order to use the word God there must be someone to do the worshipping. Because He was responsible for the creation of everything else, he must have been completely by himself at some time in the past, with out another single thing or personage, alone.
Well then could he have been lonely? No! Rather, being complete within himself that would not be possible. Who was he? How did he refer to himself? It would be impossible to know the answer to that; however He did reveal himself later as by a name. That name, though the exact pronunciation may have been lost, has variously been Yahweh, Jehovah, etc. (But Jehovah is the most used in English so let’s use it too.) The translation of that name also has been a subject of some discussion and debate. “I am that I am” or “I shall cause to be what I shall cause to be” to name a couple. Is that what he referred to himself as? Was the question we asked? It is impossible to answer with absolute certainty, but reason would suggest that that was indeed the case. Again, being complete within himself, he would have a name for himself whether it is “I” or perhaps “The original being” would do as well as any. But since he went to the trouble to reveal the name Jehovah to us, then that is what he would have us to understand that, that IS INDEED his name and that may have been his name all along.
What was it that prompted him to start to create? Could it have been, perhaps, that he enjoyed LIFE and living so much that he wished to share that love of life with other beings? There is certainly ample evidence that this just may have been the case. Take for instance the fact that the sanctity of life is one of the utmost threads of ALL his laws. Yes, life is a truly wonderful gift. Not to be taken lightly. Not to be squandered. To be appreciated, hung onto desperately, savored, enjoyed. So to sum it up, was it not LOVE that prompted him to create?
What do you suppose the very first thing was that he created? Come on now, I’m sure you know the answer to that one. What would YOU do? Would you not create a being as near like to yourself as possible? Someone who would be the very reflection of yourself? Of course you would. And he did. Could the love that came to be between them have been anything but perfect? What adoration must the created being have had for his creator? What Absolute devotion. After all being just like your creator you would have had the same understanding and appreciation for what you had. LIFE! Just like your creator himself. How could you not have had the same love for it and by extension absolute love for your creator as well? That relationship later came to be experienced in a small way by human fathers and sons. Can you imagine the son’s willingness to please his father in everything? Can you imagine a conversation perhaps something like this? “Son let us create other beings to share this life and love that we enjoy” and the eager answer. “Please Father let me help” Not for nothing was he called “A Master Worker alongside his Father” In Greek he was called “Logos.” In English that would be “Word.” Can you not see why? He was so eager to please his Father that he would carry out his Father’s word to the letter. Lets say that he “did just so.” And now the Father had a name, Jehovah, and the son had a name, Logos. And so, the love of the Father for the Son and the love of the Son for the Father brought about a multitude of other beings. Millions in fact! What would these other beings be like? It seems they all were to be like the Original being and his first creation the Son. Yes! Spirit creatures, like themselves. As a whole they would be what we know them to be as Angels. The Love does not stop there however. Now was time to do something entirely new. Entirely different! Let’s make Man.How eager again must the Word have been to be used by his father this time to bring all ELSE into existence just as he had been used to bring the Angles into existence. My friends for the rest of this history you will have to start “in the Beginning” as found in the first book to Man from Jehovah named Genesis.
